Cosplay Gatherings

Cosplay Gatherings

Are you interested in meeting other attendees who are cosplaying from the same anime or video game series as you? Host a cosplay gathering for your fandom! Cosplay gatherings are attendee-led events where you can chat, take pictures and celebrate your fandom together. Gatherings are great for making new friends, too!

FAQs

How does hosting a gathering work? If you don’t see your fandom listed on this page, apply using the form here. Host applications for each fandom are on a first come, first served basis with preference given to those with hosting experience. All cosplay gatherings will be run by one or two hosts. Before the convention starts, the schedule of gatherings will be made available.
What do I do during my cosplay gathering? You can organize photoshoots for groups and/or specific characters or just chat about your fandom! Keep in mind that these events are run by attendees so you’re free to do anything as long as you adhere to the convention’s policies.
May I continue our gathering past the assigned time? Sure, that’s fine with us! All we ask is that you be respectful of those who have time slots other than yours and move your gathering to another spot when your time is up.
Can I sign up with a friend or two to host? Of course! Please note on the form if you know the people you want to host with.
Where are the cosplay gatherings? To make it easy, all cosplay gatherings are in one place and happen one at a time. We’ll update this page with more information on where that spot will be!
Do I need to purchase a Miryokucon badge to host a meetup? Yes. We do not offer comped badges for hosts, so please make sure you will be able to purchase an attendee badge before applying.
May I advertise my gathering separately? Yes! If you create a Facebook event page, please link it back to Miryokucon’s page.
